Why different rate?

According to our unique ladder-rate-system, rate of every private guide candidate is not fixed. As a rule, every new guide starts at the lowest "ladder", RMB 300 per day. When s/he get opportunity to serve and receive no complain from the client(s), his/her rate will be up to higher "ladder" - for one day of successful service, the rate is moved to RMB 400/day; for two days, moved to RMB 500/day...The rate keeps going upward until the guide decides to stay at certain "ladder" for personal reasons, among which most common one is to get more opportunity by lower rate. If a guide gets nobody to nominate, or fails to serve the client successfully, his/her rate will remain unchanged.

By the ladder-rate-system, travelers have a variety of daily rate choices from RMB 300 (US$ 37 roughly) to RMB 3,000+ (US$ 370+ roughly), and they can rest assured of guide's experience perfectly matching their chosen rate - higher rate means more experience serving OUR clients, lower rate, less experience.

As rate is an indicator of experience to serve OUR clients only, it does not necessarily reflect candidate's qualification in general. Actually, there are always highly qualified, experienced guides come to apply for our freelance job. However, under fair play rule, every newcomer is required to directly demonstrate his/her value by "invisible hand" of market, every newcomer is set to start at the lowest daily rate of RMB 300, no matter how much experience s/he has gained before. If you have enough time to study photo and profile of those candidates with lower rate, most probably you will find some highly qualified candidates who could perfectly matching your expectation.

Please note, the rate is for a maximum of two clients. That means, each client can save 50% if two clients share one private tour guide. For the 3rd client, extra 50% will be charged. For the 4th client, 25%.
